I gol darn dun heared it with me own wax filled earholes.
Had the great pleasure to attend three “meet and greets” with John Fogerty during his 2006 US tour, where I also met many fabulous forum friends in person for the first time.
During those “m & g” sessions, fans had the wonderful opportunity to ask JCF personal questions, which were principally about his music career.
I heard folks mention what was their own fave John Fogerty song to him and they then asked why he hadn’t played those particular tunes very much or not at all in live concerts.
JCF usually replied: “Some songs are meant to be B-sides,” or that “Some songs are meant to be just album cuts.”
One guy tried the reverse approach and asked John what was his favourite song on the
Hoodoo
album – John responded with
On the Run
– where he didn’t offer any more details and the guy didn’t follow-up to JCF’s reply.
THE STEVE
------------------
“If JCF doesn’t re-record the best songs on “Hoodoo” he won’t ever receive any royaltays, while the people selling the copies of this unreleased album on eBay will keep taking the pay for boolay boolay!”
– Rabbit, 2005
