Certain phenomena cannot easily be explained: the Bermuda Triangle, Area 51, the object that fell out of the sky and landed just a little south of Moline, if Milli Vanilli fell in the forest would somebody else have to make the sound, how Keith Richards has managed to live so long, why La Toya and Michael Jackson were never seen together in the same room, and the ingredients in hot dogs and chicken nuggets!

But all of these assorted mysteries fall in the wake of perhaps one of the most intriguing, unresolved posers which has captivated imagination of hard core fans of music legend John Fogerty for some 38 years, and continues unabated and unanswered to this very day – the unreleased 1976 Hoodoo album.

So does an original mastertape of this storied album still actually remain in existence and, if so, who has it in their possession and where is it located?

Does a certain well-known music memorabilia officiado have the Hoodoo master stashed away right next to the Duck Kee Market sign in a highly secretive fortress-like holding facility in Zelgium (the name of the country has been changed for identity and security purposes) – or maybe another mysterious German collector named ****** **** has an extremely rare and valuable acetate securely locked and guarded in an homogenized vault not in Jermany (again ID and safety measures) – is there a major clue provided in his/her former username?

Due to the renown fragile nature of acetates, the alleged 12” LP acetate has only been allegedly played twice because a third rotation would cause permanent damage, thus rendering it unrecordable in the future.

Or as a child of four who would now be aged 42 would’ve plainly seen, if a mastertape had been hermetically sealed and kept in a large mayonnaise jar since noon on an undisclosed day ending in “y”, and unrevealed year beginning with “y”, from sometime between 1976 into the early 1980’s on Funk and Wagnell's porch?

Who knows the contents and, in their divine and mystical way, will ascertain the answers to these questions having never seen them before?

Perhaps the truth is just a shadow, you can never pin it down, and the words are always hollow, that's wond'rin' why the answer is just another question, never yes or no, they're in the middle ground.
